Karen S. Franklin

Karen S. Franklin is director of The Judaica Museum of The Hebrew Home for the Aged at Riverdale and director of family research at the Leo Baeck Institute. She is the first director of a Jewish museum to be elected to the board of the American Association of Museums and currently serves on its Ethics Committee. Ms. Franklin is a past chair of the Council of American Jewish Museums (CAJM) and a past president of the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies. She is currently CAJM representative for international affairs, and has traveled widely for museum programs in Europe, Russia, the Ukraine and Israel.
