Jean-Claude Kuperminc is the Director of the Library and Archives of the Alliance Israélite Universelle in Paris, and President of the Commission française des archives juives (French Commission on Jewish Archives). He was a member of the steering committee of the first pan-European conference on Judaica archives in Potsdam in 1999, which explored the main issues facing Judaica archives and libraries in Europe. He has published many articles on this subject.
