INHA, the French Institut national d'histoire de l'art in Paris, has on its site a guide to databases and catalogues relevant to Nazi spoliation,

In five sections, they are the following:

1. Stolen and Looted Works of Art Databases - Bases de données sur les œuvres d'art volées et spoliées - This includes the Art Loss Register, Entartete Kunst, Central Registry (lootedart.com database), ERR, Holocaust Era Research Resources, Interpol, UK museums spoliation list, US museums spoliation list, Polish Wartime Losses, the Dutch Origins Unknown, the Czech Restitution-Art database and the Israel Museum list of JRSO items.

2. Sales catalogues at INHA - Catalogues de vente à l'INHA
These catalogues cover the entire period from 1600 and can be searched in the online database.

3. Sales catalogues in Paris libraries - Les collections de catalogues de vente à Paris
Those listed are:
a. the INHA library which has over 160,000 sales catalogues dating from the 17th century. All the catalogues prior to 1941 are reproduced on microfilm. The collection is added to each year by about 1,000 documents, focusing on European auction houses. All the 17th and 18th century catalogues are digitised.
b. National museum libraries - Bibliothèques des musées nationaux - the collective catalogue enables searches of the catalogues held by the Musée national de la Renaissance d'Écouen, le musée d'Orsay, le musée de l'Orangerie and le Musée des arts asiatiques Guimet.
c. National Library of France -
Bibliothèque nationale de France - with 70,000 French and foreign sales catalogues.
d. Decorative Arts Library - Bibliothèque des Arts décoratifs - with 63,000 sale catalogues dating from 1744. Paris sales at Drouot and London sales at Sotheby's and Christie's are the best represented.
e. Forney Library - Bibliothèque Forney - with 50,000 sale catalogues from 1752 to today
f. Kandinsky Library - Bibliothèque Kandinsky - with 18,000 contemporary art sale catalogues from the beginning of the 20th century
g. Media Library of the Quai Branly - Médiathèque du Musée du Quai Branly - 3,800 catalogues of sales of non-Western art objects from the 19th century to the present day mainly in France.
h. Historical Library of the City of ParisBibliothèque historique de la Ville de Paris  - catalogues from the 17th century including a large collection of library sales catalogues from the 18th century to 1919.
h. Drouot Library - Bibliothèque Drouot - catalogues of sales for the current month.
i. Custodia Foundation Library - Bibliothèque de la Fondation Custodia - 25,000 sales catalogues from the collection of Fritz Lugt - these are not inventoried or catalogued currently.

4. Digital sales catalogues and union catalogues - Les catalogues de vente numérisés et les catalogues collectifs
This lists all digitised catalogues in INHA, the BnF, etc, as well as at the Heidelberg University Library (sale catalogues 1900-1945), the Getty Research Institute's Provenance Index, and union catalogues such as Scipio, Kubikat and the Getty Provenance Index Database.

5. Databases on the Art Market - Bases de données sur le marché de l'art
This includes Akoun, Artfira, Artkhade, Artnet,ArtNexus, Artprice, AskART, Auction.fr, Barnebys, Blouin Art Sales Index, Drouot and the New York Public Library. Also listed are the Minutes of Public Sales - Procès-verbaux de ventes publiques - in the Archives de Paris. These date back to 1783 and include 260 auctioneers; these records are supplemented by the archives of the Chamber of Auctioneers - Chambres des commissaires-priseurs - and by a series of catalogues of Parisian auctions, made up of donations from the Hôtel Drouot and which are especially rich for the second half of the twentieth century.
