Book launch: Museums and the Holocaust (2nd edition), Zoom, Institute of Art and Law, 27 January 2021, 5.00-6.30pm UK time

The Insititute of Art and Law is hosting an online book launch for the second edition of Museums and the Holocaust, first published by the late Norman Palmer in 2000. In the twenty years since the first edition there have been seismic shifts in the treatment by museums of works of art spoliated during the Nazi-era (1933-1945). This new edition, to be released at the end of January, has gathered together contributors from over ten countries to show the important changes that have taken place around the world.

For more information on the book, and to pre-order a copy, see here. For those who attend the launch, a 25% discount on the hardback book will be made available.

The book launch will take place, via Zoom, on 27 January 2021 at 5.00 pm, concluding at 6.30 pm (UK time).

The event will be presided over by Judge Tony Baumgartner, Judge of the Circuit Court of England and Wales and Deputy Chair of the UK’s Spoliation Advisory Panel. There will be presentations from three of the book’s esteemed authors:

Following these presentations there will be a wider discussion involving all of the book’s contributors.
