2 May 2018: Mosse Art Research Initiative (MARI): Research Results and Online Portal

On 2 May 2018 in Berlin, MARI will present its online portal with recent research results and a media station on works from the Rudolf Mosse Collection. The aim of MARI is to reconstruct the extensive art collection of the German Jewish publisher Rudolf Mosse (1843-1920) and to investigate where the works that were taken by the National Socialists are currently located. The results are recorded in the MARI online portal, a research database.

Launched a year ago, MARI is the first public-private partnership in provenance research and is considered unique. The Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation (SPK) is one of several German institutions involved in the project, which is funded by the Deutsches Zentrum Kulturgutverluste and the heirs who are working in cooperation with the Freie Universität Berlin (FU).
