Description
The Library of the Karásek Gallery at the Museum of Czech Literature (Památník národního písemnictví) in Prague contains many thousands of exhibition and auction catalogues, which are gradually being made available in summary form. The collection focuses on Czechoslovakia, Germany and Austria, but also includes records from the following countries: Belgium, Denmark, France, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

The collection consists of auction catalogues, catalogues of antique shops, bookstores and publishing houses, publishing brochures and other titles related to trade of fine art or books. Also included are exhibition catalogues and literature relating to the collecting of art, catalogues of collecting institutions and museums, sometimes even monographs on artists, annual reports of associations, etc.
