Two German organisations provide extensive art trade and art historical resources with valuable materials from Germany and internationally.
ZADIK, Zentralarchiv des internationalen Kunsthandels, (Central Archive of International Art Dealers) in Cologne was founded by the Bundesverband Deutscher Galerien BVDG (Federal Association of German Galleries) and keeps records and archival material of galleries and art dealers in Europe and the USA. The records include correspondence with artists, business records, material on exhibitions and catalogues. There is also a library specialising in the history of the art trade, an extensive poster collection, a collection of press articles and an archive on photography.
