Description
Records include correspondence between Herman Baron (1892-1961), who founded the American Contemporary Art Gallery in 1932, and the artists who exhibited there. The records also include Baron's writings on the social and artistic context surrounding the Gallery, photographs of artists and artwork, clippings, and an exhibition catalogue.
