Title
Historisches Museum, Hannover (Historical Museum, Hannover)

Research into Nazi-confiscated works of art in the museum's collection
The museum has undertaken research into its collections which indicates that it holds no cultural property confiscated in the period 1933-45.

Research into works of art missing from the museum
The museum suffered important losses during the Second World War, mainly through air raids and looting of historical garments and shoes in the immediate post-war period. These losses are listed on the Lost Art Internet Database, the official German database for missing cultural property at http://www.lostart.de.
