Title
Les Archives des Musées de France
Description
The archives contain material relating to French private collections, particularly
to the Rothschild collection, which were safeguarded by the Musées de France
and subsequently looted by the Nazi occupation government. The records also include
some correspondence between Rose Valland and Jacques Jaujard from 1941-1944. The
archives hold two copies of volume 2 of the
Repertoire des Bien Spolies en
France pendant la Guerre, one of which is annotations regarding claims and
restitutions. The archives also include some limited records of the Commission
de Choix.
