Description
Adolphe Basler was a Polish born Parisian art dealer and critic of 20th-century art.
The record includes letters from artists and critics (including Derain, Vlaminck, Dufy, Apollinaire, Besson, Salmon, Jacob, Carco, Feneon and Cassirer). Some letters concern the theft of paintings in 1920 and their subsequent retrieval.
