Description
Sprang states three important sources of accessible archival material relating to the plunder of French collections: (1) the Contemporary Jewish Documentation Centre (Centre de documentation juif contemporain) contains material regarding official correspondence and reports; private letters; and administrative documents of the Commission on Jewish Affairs (Commission aux aiffaires juives), the Western Office (Aktion M), the Rosenberg Task Force and the Art Protection Agency (Kunstschutz). (2) The National Archive contains archival material of the Direction of the National Museums; some original documents of Dr. Brunjes; and documents on Göring's purchases in Italy. (3) The Ministry of Finance contains material concerning reparations to France.
