Yerusha Jewish Archives Europe Portal: The Yerusha project, an initiative of the Rothschild Foundation (Hanadiv) Europe, already makes available archival collections from Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, The Netherlands, Turkey, UK, and Ukraine. It is planned to be a fully functional and cross-searchable web-portal, aggregating collection-level descriptions of holdings from across Europe. These descriptions will be drawn from both archival survey projects focussing on Jewish historical records, as well as from institutions with records pertaining to the Jewish experience in Europe. The project will take a targeted approach, limiting the number of projects and institutions invited to contribute their descriptions in the first years, but it is the eventual goal for the Yerusha portal to be as comprehensive, and thus as useful, as possible.
