The past few years have witnesssed a great many changes in the law as it applies to museums and the management of collections. Tthe aim of this seminar was to provide a 'round-up' of the most important of those changes. Speakers summarised and analysed recent cases and statutory provisions concerning such diverse areas as recovery of Holocaust-looted art, the application of the Artist's Resale Right, sculptures and artistic craftsmanship, anti-seizure statutes and compliance with new legislation.

The seminar was led by Professor Norman Palmer QC, CBE (3 Stone Buildings), and speakers included Gillian Haggart (Artist and Lawyer), Rosalyn Clancy (Registrar (Exhibitions) National Galleries of Scotland).

An Institute of Art and Law afternoon seminar from 2-5pm.
