The Library of the Museum of Fine Arts is the largest art historical library in the country. It primarily supports the scholarly, educational and restoration activities of the museum, but it is also traditionally the library of Hungarian scholarly research and higher education in art history. Its prominent scholarly, bibliophile and artistic assets make it a resource of national importance. There is an electronic catalogue which can be consulted at the Library. It is not online.
