Twice Looted or Twice Stolen?

On 4 September 2007 BBC Radio 4 broadcast Twice Looted or Twice Stolen? about the millions of artworks and objects taken from Germany and Eastern Europe by the Soviets in 1945 as compensation.  The programme was presented by reporter Charles Wheeler and Anne Webber of the Commission for Looted Art in Europe

It features interviews with Irina Antonova, director of the Pushkin Museum, Mikhail Piotrovosky, director of the Hermitage Museum, Ekaterina Genieva, director of the Library for Foreign Literature, former Minister of Culture, Nicolai Gubenko, Anatoly Vilkov, Deputy Head of the Federal Service for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, Bernd Lindemann, director of the Gemaeldegalerie Berlin, Klaus-Dieter Lehmann, President of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, art historians Konstantin Akinsha and Grigory Kozlov and American lawyer Charles Goldstein.
